We are pleased to announce that the "ShaanxiTechnicalCollege of Finance & Economics– Almaty Technological University – Bank of China Kazakhstan Branch Qinling Workshop" project (abbreviated as the Sino-Kazakh Qinling Workshop project), submitted by our college, has been successfully approved by the Belt and Road Vocational Education Alliance. This landmark achievement will drive the reform and development of vocational education at ourcollegeand create a new model for "Vocational Education Going Global."
The Sino-Kazakh Qinling Workshop project is a significant initiative in response to the national "Vocational Education Going Global" strategy. It aims to promote the reform of vocational education and the international development of higher vocational institutions, building an international brand for Shaanxi's "Vocational Education Going Global." Our college initiated the project in October 2024. During the preliminary preparations, the college established a solid foundation of communication and trust with Kazakh partners through multiple online negotiations and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Kazakhstan Belt and Road Research Institute, providing robust support for the project's subsequent advancement.
The project fully integrates the advantages of the "oneuniversity, one collegeand one enterprise" tripartite collaboration to achieve synergistic development. In recent years, our college has established an international education and teaching management system with distinctiveShaanxiTechnicalCollege of Finance & Economicscharacteristics, built partnerships with over 30 universities in Belt and Road partner countries, obtained TQUK Level 6 certification for three sets of professional standards in Greece, co-established theShaanxiTechnicalCollege of Finance & EconomicsJeonbuk College with Jeonbuk National University in South Korea, and successfully enrolled international students for Chinese language teaching, providing comprehensive support for international education. Almaty Technological University, as a top comprehensive research university in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, holds significant influence in the International Association of Universities and the Eurasian Universities Association. With its wide-ranging and comprehensive program offerings, strong faculty, and remarkable scientific research achievements, the university boasts educational standards and teaching facilities that rank among the best in Kazakhstan, providing the project with rich and high-quality educational resources. Bank of China Kazakhstan, as a subsidiary in Kazakhstan, actively promotes cross-border RMB settlement business and plays a key role in fostering economic development and financial cooperation between China and Kazakhstan, offering strong corporate support for the Sino-Kazakh Qinling Workshop project.
The project’s construction plan is scientifically rigorous and rich in content. In terms of management, a dedicated "oneuniversity, one collegeand one enterprise" management committee has been established to develop a comprehensive mechanism for professional talent cultivation. The collaboration will focus on key fields such as Big Data and Accounting and Financial Services and Management, aiming to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents in finance and economics that meet international market demands.
The approval of the Sino-Kazakh Qinling Workshop project holds profound significance for our college's development. It will further enhance the internationalization level of the college, broaden the global perspectives of faculty and students, and promote education and teaching reform. At the same time, the project will also set an example for vocational education cooperation between China and Kazakhstan, fostering in-depth collaboration in international talent cultivation and contributing to the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
