On May 9th, a delegation of 21 members from Albeda College in the Netherlands, led by President Patricia van der Schoot, visited our college for a study exchange program. The delegation included President Patricia van der Schoot, teacher Miao Yizhen, and 19 students including Ali Azad. The meeting was attended by our Vice President Wang Yong, Secretary of the Youth League Committee Zhang Jie, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office Li Fushun, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office Yuan Yongyan, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office Yang Hua, relevant staff from the International Office, and 12 student representatives.


Vice President Wang Yong first extended a warm welcome to Patricia and her delegation on behalf of the college and introduced the basic overview of our institution as well as its internationalization efforts. He emphasized that the college adheres to the fundamental principles of "open-door, open-access, and internationalized education," accurately grasps the tasks and mission of open education in the new era, and actively aligns with the "Belt and Road" educational initiatives. The establishment of the "International Education College" provides both degree programs and non-degree language courses for international students in China, aiming to cultivate a new type of international composite talent proficient in Chinese and foreign languages, equipped with professional skills, and strong practical abilities, thereby creating a new pinnacle of international education at our college. He expressed that the college highly values international exchanges and cooperation with foreign higher education institutions and looks forward to vigorously promoting mutual learning and exchanges between students and faculty of both colleges, enhancing cooperation in cultural and professional teaching fields, and jointly fostering high-quality development.

President Patricia expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and concurred with our college's educational philosophy, highly praising the achievements in our development. She introduced the basic situation of Albeda College and its international programs, expressing the hope to establish a communication mechanism between the two institutions for in-depth cooperation and sincerely inviting the leadership of our college to visit Albeda College.
The two colleges signed the "Cooperation Agreement between Shaanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics and Albeda College" on site, followed by an exchange of commemorative gifts.



The teachers and students from Albeda College visited the pottery studio, cloud finance training room, He Xingwen Master Studio, calligraphy room, and tea art room, where they personally experienced cultural skills such as calligraphy, tea art, and paper-cutting.






The delegation also observed the 2024 Party and Youth League Knowledge Contest with the theme "Passing the Torch to the Youth, the May Fourth Spirit Lives On" at Shaanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics. Before the competition, wonderful cultural performances such as street dance, taekwondo, Chinese martial arts, and cheongsam shows allowed the teachers and students from Albeda College to touch the pulse of history, appreciate the charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture, enhance their understanding and recognition of Chinese traditional culture, and also perfectly concluded the study tour for the international students.
Through this study exchange program, the international students gained an in-depth understanding of the historical changes of Shaanxi culture, experienced the profoundness of excellent traditional Chinese culture and the spiritual power contained in this land, and gained valuable insights from the activities. The students unanimously stated that this activity was highly rewarding and unforgettable, and they hoped the college would organize more similar study programs to cultivate international students who know and befriend China. The conduct of this study exchange program not only enhanced the international students' understanding and recognition of Chinese traditional culture but also deepened the friendship between Chinese and foreign teachers and students, adding new momentum to promote the international characteristics of our college.
